Hazardeon Aeon
Not much is known about the Hazardeon Aeon, only that there was almost no oxygen and there was no life on Mertens.

Bentekean Aeon
This was when Mertens’ bodies of water were created. It was also very important as the first form of life, microbes, were created as Mertens had an environment perfect for exotic chemistry due to its great diversity of chemical elements, it’s perfect amount of energy, and the presence of liquid on the planet. These microbes dominated the planet and thankfully produced oxygen, which then became dominant in the atmosphere and paved the way for more life to follow.

Icesphere Mertens
This was an extremely cold period in Mertens’ history that came as a result of the Bentekean Aeon as there was a surge in oxygen, meaning less greenhouse gasses and therefore less heat, cooling Mertens. This Aeon ended with volcanoes forming, due to magma from within Mertens’ upper mantle working its way to the surface and due to shifting tectonic plates, and thus Mertens getting more greenhouse gasses and it heating up again.
Carrascozonic Aeon
This is the most recent Aeon where plant and animal life came about as oxygen levels rose. It is during this Aeon that us Witseloneans emerged on, thrived on, and left the planet of Mertens!
